We recommend scheduling the first "well-baby" checkup by their first birthday or when their first tooth appears. During this initial appointment, our primary goal is to help your child feel comfortable in the dental chair. We perform a "knee-to-knee" exam for toddlers or a gentle chairside cleaning for older children.
Our dentists will carefully check for proper jaw development, look for early signs of decay, and demonstrate age-appropriate brushing techniques.
